's headquarters where governor jerry brown will sign a new law for autonomous cars. good morning, bob. >> reporter: yeah, good morning, laura. officially the bill is sb-1298. senate bill 1298. unofficially known as the robot car bill. this bill will allow companies like google to test self-driven cars as long as a human is in the driver's seat monitoring the car's operation. it will also require the dmv to come up with rules to govern these cars. they have always needed special permission from local authorities but no longer the case once the bill becomes law starting next year. the bill is not without its critics. there are privacy concerns because in the future autonomous cars would have to share data with other autonomous cars to avoid collisions on the road. we're talking about gps and sensor data that would be collected and disseminated from a central location. basically tracking your movement and letting people know where you're at. an amendment to the bill wants to tell drivers how they share that information but a group called consumer watchdog thinks the amendment needs to do a better job

to the southern freeway leading up to the 1 01 interchange. the bay bridge was brown conditions are improving especially for the 880 approached, it is the best one to the bridge. the san mateo bridge is holding steady at a 12 minute drive time. the golden gate bridge 11 southbound is still an easy commute with a few more cars in the northbound side. >> the fog is really thick at the golden gate bridge and we're seeing compromise conditions at most of our coastal spots. the temperatures are still the upper 40's and the north bay and pretty much '50s for everyone else. the fog will burn off into the afternoon making way for sunny skies. bridgdelays on flights at sfo ae now averaging 71 minutes. 41 and about and 52 in oakland with fremont coming in at 56 degrees. well as the fmln signed pretty mild conditions '60s and '70s. we can also see some eighties for the warmest and areas. afternoon highs really the red stays out of our forecast area muni we won't see very much in a way of '90s. '70s and '80s and now north bay with '80s in campbell. livermore is the only spot that will climb to the '90s.

a very unfortunate development on sunday when we heard that governor jerry brown evoke -- vetoed two very important pieces of legislation offered by tom ammiano. one allowed local jurisdictions to prevent this trend where you have in other parts of the country local police becoming arms of immigration. and it was a piece of legislation that ensures that the very limited law enforcement resources that jurisdictions such as san francisco have actually are focused on preventing violent crime, not being in the business of enforcing immigration law. it was very unfortunate that the governor vetoed that legislation. the other piece of legislation that was also very important that he also vetoed and one that impacts actually many people here in san francisco, especially many women, is the domestic workers bill of rights which for the first time would have accorded domestic workers in the state of california basic rights that are given to just about every worker. we have to remember that in the 1930s there was a decision made at the federal government that domestic workers would not be cover
